Customer Creations!

I am always delighted to receive emails and messages from customers who have used my buttons on their knitted garments. T

The cozy wool they use is not only soft and luxurious (I've recently purchased 1 roll of this scrumptious yarn, so I am talking soft folks!) but colorful, vibrant and perfectly youthful for the most adorable, elaborately knitted children's ware.

Amazing design and detail go into these beautifully hand crafted outfits. I am in awe when I receive a photo of my buttons adorning one of these creations.

I thought it would be fun to share some of them here today!

 Buttoned up with our Oopsie buttons. I just love the little cap Jonelle created to match the design of the monster face buttons!
 What an amazing set!! Love the knitted branch and bird. She adorned this with our Bowl Full Of Cherries Buttons.
 Simple and Sweet. Little white flower buttons in a small 3/4" size with purple and aqua centers. Semi-custom order.
 A d o r a b l e!!   A sweet little halloween outfit complete with glow-in-the-dark halloween buttons in the style of my "Bewitched" Buttons made to match this colorway.
 Pink and brown is always a lovely combination. This adorable romper was knit by Crist of Creatively Ewe. She adorned her knit with our "Lolli" buttons, but created to custom match this colorway.

This is just a few of the many I receive photos of weekly! Keep sending them, I love seeing what you create!!  To see what our customers have shared with our Facebook Fan ("like"..lol) page click here:

I hope everyone is enjoying getting ready for the holidays! We both have been *literally*  glued to our chairs working like crazy to fill button orders before the holidays. We did spent one evening enjoying some wine and decorating our home. It was fun to put the Christmas music on, light the fireplace and sip wine while we transformed our home into full holiday mode!   Red and Gold!

 And it looks a lot like Winter outside too. Steve built this snow-person after a great amount of snow fell that day. He is always the one to be eager to rush out and build the biggest snow-person he can roll. LOL! Love that guy ;)
And, Snowperson did get a hat...which as an adorable little girl reminded me, "he isn't real if he doesn't have a hat" :)

Happy Holidays!!!

Still here :)

Hello!  Is anyone still here? (lol)

Yes, it has been ages since I've posted an update.  I'm still working away at my button business and it has taken over my world completely :)

On a side note, I've gotten the itch to scrapbook again, but with my limited time now days, I've started dabbling in digital scrapbooking and I love it.

Here is my 1st try. Yes, I have a lot to learn..so please be kind ;)

Well, keeping this post short and sweet. Just thought it was about time I checked in. I am missing blogging and having a place to "write" so I'll be back!

Loves!!

Monday's button inspiration!

Creative Team member, Amy Priddy created a one of a kind laptop/camera bag combo and embellished it with our handmade buttons. I created a custom "plate" versus a button and hand painted the words "Capturing Life's Memories" for Amy's project.

Amy will actually have this buttoned up Laptop/Camera Bag for sale today in her shop at http://www.priddycreations.com/

Thank you for sharing your outstanding project, Amy!

Monday Creative Team Member Spotlight- Leslie Ashe

For today's Monday button inspiration, enjoy the lovely page by our Creative Team Member, Leslie Ashe!

Leslie used a mix of our polka dotted buttons and our Raspberry Chocolate Ganache buttons to embellish her uber girly page, "Side Kick"

We will have a few new button designs in the shop this evening at 7 pm PST. Due to the volume of custom orders I create each week, my time to design new buttons for the shop has been reduced significantly. Luckily some of my customers are happy to share their custom orders with all of you, so we have some fresh designs ready to share tonight!

Have a great Monday!    Please don't be a stranger! Say hi if you are lurking!  I guess I have to do another giveaway to get some of you come out of hiding..lol ;-)

Today is the last edition to our  limited edition "Garden Friends" miniature button collectors series. (whew, yes that's a mouthful to say and to type!)  Creating this series has been a fun new way to stretch our creativity and share a little bit of "cute" with people all over the world. We were amazed to sell out 2 of them the 1st day we listed them, the feedback has been wonderful.

Meet our last Garden Friend, "Verdie"  A little smiling green caterpillar resting happily on a red and white toadstool. This little guy is structured on a 1" sized button and stands 1.5" tall.  Perfectly adorable :)

{Verdie will be available 7/6/10 at 12 pm PST at The Button Shop. Only 5 will be sold}

We have been receiving several custom cake topper requests this month! Currently we are working on a birthday cake topper for a 3 year old boy in a pirate theme. The palm tree has been created, as well as most of the treasure chest. It's filled to the brim with silver goblets, pearls, ruby's and diamonds. There will be a little pirate boy and a map and tons of other great pirate things. We also are working on a beautiful humming bird topper and a butterfly topper.  I sketch out my designs most of the time if I need to get a visual and want to be sure that me and the customer are on the same page. Remember, these are just sketches..lol.  Admittedly I am not the best and drawing ;-)

My sister's wedding is just around the corner in October and as a surprise I created a cake topper just to *show* her. No expectations. But, I did create each detail inspired by my sisters wedding down to the bird cadge veil Well, she flipped and wanted it.  She loved it and it is now hers  and I am so proud it's going to be on her beautiful cake. Her cake is going to be 3-tiers and a stunner... one of those fancy cakes you see on the Cake Boss. I am tickled pink that my little topper will reign on top ;-D

I hand sewed a tiny bird cadge veil with 3 tiny pearls. I hand sculpted the top hat and then created the cute little glasses out of wire.

The dress was given a pearl pigment and the roses were created in a deep red with a light dusting of pearl over the top to create a vintage look.

A Chantilly lace pattern was used for the back of the wedding dress. Tiny pearls button down the back of the train.

I am going to be offering a version of these in the shop that will be fully customizable in color size, detail, flowers, glasses/no glasses, top hat, kippah, or even a cowboy hat....tux tails, suit....Every detail down to the shoes and eye color can be customized. I have a few more styles in the works, so stay tuned!

Many more button styles are in the works also!  Have a great Tuesday!!

When Bridget emailed her project in this week, she said that when she received her "Sweet Tweetie" buttons, they reminded her of little candies... These delicious buttons were her inspiration for creating this adorable apron for daughter, a chocolate lover just like her mom! We are excited to share her super cute project with you all! Enjoy!

Our Monday button inspiration by Creative Team Member, Bridget Baxter!

Cute cupcake fabric, combined with pink and white stripes, ruffled detail and adorable buttons make this apron cutest around!

Pink, chocolate, and a pearly red. Tiny hand cut hearts line the button and little hand painted polka dots are sealed beneath a delicious glossy finish. A perfect little something fun to embellish the apron!

The ruffled detail really adds a fun, stylish twist!

Thanks for stopping by today to get your Monday button inspiration!

Tomorrow, I will be back with our 4th series to the "Garden Friends" collectors series.  Thanks to everyone who has been a faithful collector of each friend! We have sold out of 2 of them and just have 2 of the "Baby Bug's" left.
We are going to have a new collectors series each month with fun new things. Next month is our series of 4 artisan pendants. I will have a preview this week of these pendants! Again, only 5 of each pendant will be sold. They will be listed the 2nd week of July at 12 pm PST.  We are also branching out a bit to include cake toppers. We have booked several including my own sisters wedding! (i'll share a photo of that topper in my next post!!) I am currently working on an amazing Pirate themed birthday boy cake topper, a hummingbird in a garden topper and a beautiful memorial butterfly topper. I am having a wonderful time creating sketches, working out the details and getting my hands into the clay!     All this is exciting but,  we don't our faithful button fans to worry..... buttons will always be our #1 priority, we just want to offer a few fun things in the mix every once in a while :)

Have a wonderful day!

Buttons Galore :)

I have SO much to share with you all!  June was a big month for custom orders. I counted this morning and we created over 60 individual custom orders. I couldn't believe my eyes. I have just sort of kept my head down and plowed ahead this month as I worked through each order. It was great through each custom order to try something different, a new color combination....a challenge.

I thought today would be the perfect opportunity to share some of my favorites. Okay, all 60+ are my favorite, but I thought I should narrow it down a bit ;)

Enjoy all of the fun new designs! We are always taking custom orders, we tend to book in advance about 4-6 weeks, so if this post inspires you for a project and you want custom buttons, contact me and I'll get you on the schedule!

                         {Cars--A custom order to match the fabric the buttons are shown here with. I don't know the name of it, but it's SO adorable and I really had fun creating buttons to match ;) }

{A beautiful summery array of aquamarine, orange, fushia and touches of yellow. These buttons were created with shank backs. This is a new option we are offering to our customers for a small additional fee.}

{Unicorn with sparkly gold horn- I have to say I this was such a fun button to create. As a little girl, I would spend hours drawing horses and unicorns and it's fun now to bring them back to life in buttons!}

{The Hungry Caterpiller}

{Cherry Sundae}

{Cherry Blossoms}

{These buttons are just a wee 3/8" in size...teeny, tiny buttons!}

{Owls for a little boys knit sweater}

{Purples, greens and a firefly}

{Horses}

{Baby Sea Turtles}

                                                                              {Seahorse}

{A Giraffe and Savannah Tree's}

{A Pony Themed Button Set}

And..there will be many more to come!

{ We are currently booking custom orders for the 1st week of August (8/4) contact us at www.tessaann.etsy.com to book your own custom buttons!}

This sweet little figurine is our 3rd series to our collectors "Garden Friend" miniature button collection.

"Little Turtle" sweetly rests on a 1 inch handmade button along side his buddy, baby bug standing underneath a daffodil.  This figurine stands 2" tall and 1" wide. Perfectly tiny and cute :)

{Update--- Little Turtle has already sold out. Spring Chickity has also sold out, but we have a couple of the Baby Bug, lady bugs available. Thanks for the great response!}
