What a fun, fun weekend we had!! Steve and I just returned from a long weekend at the coast. We visited with Steve's family on Sunday and took a wonderful trip to the beach where I was able to
capture some wonderful photos of them together. I cannot believe how much Tiffany has grown and how much she has blossomed. She is quite photogenic, I think! We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at an old favorite Mexican restaurant. It was truly a wonderful visit.

Monday was our 7th yearwedding Anniversary! Steve and I traveled to Lincoln City where we stayed at our most favorite little place! The Odyseus is a qaint hotel that overlooks the ocean. The beautiful rooms are garnished with a gas fireplace, down comforters on a very comfortable bed, a wine social and a turn down service complete with chocolates on your pillows :) I loved that! We enjoyed a nice dinner overlooking the beach where others played in the sand and enjoyed the beautiful day. It was very relaxing and nice to get away and enjoy eachother :)

I thought I would share a few photos from our day at the beach with Steve's family! I was definitely Tessa Paparazzi on this trip..lol!! Well, goodnight and off to scrap some of these fun pics!!

After the long hot Summer here in Bend, Oregon I am looking forward to the Winter season! I was in the mood the other day to try out some altered projects. The pics below are a few ideas I have for cards, tags and goodie bags to give to family and friends. I chose a non-traditional color scheme for my projects here. I just couldn't resist the soft pretty pinks paired with rich red and cool teal tones. Very pretty! It was fun to work on something besides scrapbook layouts!! Plus--- now I am in the mood for Winter!!
EDITED TO ADD--------------- I had remove this image because Cards magazine would like to use my gift set in their January Issue! YAY!!! I love that magazine, so fun :-)

Creative Living with Jennalynne

I'm excited to finally share what I have been working on for the last couple months :)

Check out www.jennalynne.com. She is the creator of the famous "oohlala girls" and "Bistro Boys" that you find in specialty botiques everywhere! She is also the author of several crafting and cooking books................and is coming out with her very own TV show! This multi talented lady also creates digital scrapbooking kits--- which is where I come in. She invited me to try out her products, creating layouts, and other fun projects. Since, I am not a digi-scrapper and will paper scrap 4-ever, I have created layouts doing what is called "hybrid scrapping". This is where you download the digi-kit and print the papers using regular photo paper/cardstock and use for scrapbooking! Below are 4 layouts that I downloaded digi kits and printed the papers to use for scrapping!! So easy and so fun..........and you can go back and print it over and over unlike regular papers :D
I am thrilled to have this opportunity!!!! Sadly, I will only be working with Jenna until January when I sign on with JUNKITZ!!! I am still excited for that to begin too. Well, that is it for now!!!

Today.......

I love Wednesday's. I love this day because it is a 1/2 day for me at work and I can spend the rest of the day cozy at home in my scrap room!

This afternoon, I hit one of Bend, Oregon's HOT *new* scrapbooking stores called, "Scrapbooking Outside of the Box". I am such a kid "in a candy" store when I visit that store!! Suzie, the owner, always has boxes of new items ready to be added to the store's shelves. She keeps the store so stocked full of fabulous new "eye candy" that I am sure to spend more than I should with each visit. But, there truly is nothing better than a bag full of fresh new goodies to get the creativity flowing.

I also had an appointment this afternoon with my accupuncturist. What a sweet lady, I tell ya! I came in with a sore ankle and with one visit the pain was completely gone. So strange, I know, but I am a believer.
This practice of medicine referred to as "complimentary medicine" (other known as Alternative Medicine) really fasinates me. I love asking questions and finding out the root to all of the beliefs behind this type of medicine and how it all connects. I guess it is just my curious nature.
At any rate, I feel so good when I leave there..... >and<...in case you have never experienced an accupuncture treatment and are fearful of needles like I was... initially-----------I pinky swear that it does NOT hurt, what- so-ever. It is just so relaxing and helpful.

Well, wrapping this up, I would love to share a new layout I created last night. I've had this photo in my pile for a couple of months, and last night felt inspired to scrap it. Steve and I have had so much fun exploring our new home town of Bend, Oregon. There is just so much to see in Bend, with the beautiful snow capped mountains and breathtaking veiws at every glance. I truly feel like I live in paradise since moving here. Posted by Picasa

My last creation

Well, I thought I would start my very first blog entry by sharing what I have been up to this month, scrap-wise!
So many fun things in the works for me right now. I am going to be teaching another scrapbook class in Salem, Oregon at Scrapbook Fever on October 12. I am going to teach my very first Junkitz class, which really is a dream of an opportunity. They would like me to teach a 2 page layout, so I have been busily sketching ideas. It is a bit of a challenge since I usually scrap single layouts, but fun none the less!!...... I received a call on Saturday from the owner of Scrap-a-doodle here in Bend to come and teach again! So excited for that too!!! I love teaching others all about this wonderful, but addictive hobby! I hope my requests to come and teach continue and I have many opportunities!

Check out www.scrap-tastic.com this month!!! I am honored to be their featured guest designer. What a perfect month to have this spot! Heidi Swapp was the sponsor, it was so awesome to play with all of my Heidi Swapp goodies and lessen my stash so I can stock up all of her "new" goodies!! YAY! The precious lil guy featured in this layout is Bec, the owner of Scraptastic's sweet little boy, Cullen! Isn't he just the cutest!!! I think so ;) Posted by Picasa
